Itinerary Highlights*:

Thursday Oct 10, 2024 – ARRIVAL DAY
Travelers will be met by Ludwig Foundation representative and driver at Jose Marti International Airport for transfer to Casa Vera de Aleida. After check-in and lunch at Casa Vera, we’ll meet at the Ludwig Foundation for a welcome and briefing on Cuba’s political and art history. Walking tour of Old Havana and dinner.

Friday Oct 11, 2024 – DAY TWO
Breakfast at Casa Vera de Aleida with a presentation on US-Cuban relations. We’ll tour a cigar factory, and meet with Julio & Nidialys, owners of NostalgiCar Tours & Garage—Cuba’s premier restorer of classic American cars, followed by rides in vintage cars. Lunch and dinner are included.

Saturday Oct 12, 2024 – DAY THREE
Breakfast at Casa Vera de Aleida. Visit the Museum of Fine Arts. Presentation by artist Eduardo Guerra in his studio. Lunch and dinner are included.

Sunday Oct 13, 2024 – DAY FOUR
Breakfast at Casa Vera de Aleida. We will take a day trip to the historic city of Matanzas City, highlights to include Ediciones Vigia, a pharmacy dating from 1800s, and The Hermitage of Montserrat. Afterwards we’ll have beach time with lunch at Casa Vera in Playa Veneciana. Late night snacks at Casa Vera de Aleida.

Monday Oct 14, 2024 – DAY FIVE
Breakfast at Casa Vera de Aleida. We will tour the Superior Institute of Arts where we will meet art students and faculty. Pan-American roller skate champion and entrepreneur Tony Garcia Acuna will present on the role of competitive sports in Cuba. Lunch and dinner are included.

Tuesday Oct 15, 2024 – DEPARTURE DAY
Following breakfast at Casa Vera de Aleida, prepare luggage for check-out. Oniel Diaz, President, Auge, will present on the state of private enterprise and entrepreneurship in Havana. Time permitting, we’ll stop by the Museum of the Revolution en route to Jose Marti International Airport for US return.
